Lukas is a PhD student at GEOMAR Helmholtz Center for Ocean Research Kiel focused on numerical simulations of sediment plumes caused by deep-sea mining activities; these tasks are part of work package 5 in the OceanICU project. Lukas holds a Master of Science in Climate Physics: Physical Oceanography and Meteorology” at GEOMAR Kiel/Christian-Albrechts-University of Kiel and a Bachelor of Science in “Technincal Physics” at University of Technology in Ilmenau.
