Ben is a postdoctoral researcher at Heriot-Watt University and the Lyell Centre. Ben’s research in OceanICU is focused on alkalinity cycling and the carbonate counter pump, aiming to improve their representation in global models. He completed a PhD in Chemical Oceanography at the Royal Netherlands Institute for Sea Research (NIOZ) and Utrecht University investigating the drivers of carbonate mineral dissolution in the water column.
