Rikke Bucholtz is an ocean literacy officer and researcher at Technical University of Denmark (DTU Aqua). Her background combines marine science, fisheries research, and science education, with experience spanning research, teaching, and interinstitutional collaboration. Alongside her work as an upper secondary school teacher, Rikke works with ocean literacy and STEM education initiatives that connect marine research with schools and wider society. Within OceanICU, she contributes to WP8 activities focused on engaging young people and educators through educational resources and initiatives that strengthen understanding of ocean carbon and the role of the ocean in regulating global climate. Her work includes coordinating collaborations between upper secondary school teachers and early career researchers in the development of teaching materials based on OceanICU research.
